Air Condition Service & Maintenance
Service ContractsDomestic and Commercial PlansWe believe in being there when you need us, so, for a single annual fee we will come out to repair your air conditioning cooling and heating unit whenever it breaks down, whether it's a home air conditioner or on commercial premises. You don't even have to have had it installed with us, as long as you are with our part of our maintenance plan we'll repair your problem as soon as possible. We also recommend and advise that you have your heating cooling air conditioners serviced approximately twice a year, especially if you use them constantly for extended periods of time. This normally the minimum top manufactures require to qualify for their extended warranty. Having your aircon system serviced regularly can help to prevent unexpected breakdowns at inopportune moments that can lead to costly repair bills. |

The BasicsThe internal unit of an air conditioning system can be fitted on walls, at approximately head height, or as floor standing units. Larger systems are fitted within the ceiling void, to provide a finish that is close to the ceiling, can spread heat or cool air in up to 4 directions. These units are connected using copper pipe to allow heat transfer using environmentally friendly refrigerant gas. The split system or heat pump external unit is situated outside the building, and can be wall mounted on brackets, or placed at ground level or on a flat roof. Multi-split system allows one outside unit to power up to 4 internal units. |

Domestic Air Conditioning SolutionEnergy efficient cooling & heating air conditionersIn the past cooling & heating air conditioners were thought to be a luxury home appliance, and only for commercial property, but with prevalence of extreme seasonal temperatures and the number of heat-sensitive technology in our homes, many of us are realising that it is becoming a essential home. Our free site consultation provides clients with independent advice to ensure an energy efficient solution to your home can be achieved. |
Taking the stress out of home installationInstalling home air conditioning can not only be your solution to the hot, sticky summer weather, but also to freezing cold winters as modern air conditioning units can work either to keep you cool, or to keep you warm. All our customers are provided with a fixed quotation and offer extended warranties and after care servicing, with the domestic installation VAT rate at 5% this providing you with a cost effective heating and cooling solution that ensures you get a comfortable place to relax, eat, entertain and sleep. For the majority of homes, we recommend our multi-split inverter air con system, which have several benefits, including air cooling and heating. Not only are they energy efficient, they also allow you to switch off some rooms or to control each room’s temperature individually – saving you money with their lower electricity use. For example, in a three-bedroom house, including an attic conversion, you could have our multi-split system throughout the house to cover each bedroom, the living room and the kitchen and control each room temperature individually, or turn off the kitchen and bedrooms when everybody is in the living room. |

Every air condition installation is different, whether it is for a listed building, a complete refurbishment or a new build project, they all present their challenges in local planning restrictions or overcome building infrastructure problems. Our brief was to integrate cooling and heating systems into the apartment of a private customer, in Eaton place, while ensuring the systems and pipe-work have minimal impact on the aesthetics of each room. The solution was to supply and install a ducted system to be housed behind a false wall and allow a flat screen television to also be accommodated into the wall. In addition, supply and install floor standing systems that could be housed neatly in vented box. All ensuring the client is able to be comfortable and enjoy atmosphere created by the interior designer. Great work by the City Engineering air conditioning installer teams, working with the interior designer and meeting the client's needs to complete the work on time and on budget, installing air conditioning systems in London. Thank you to the client for allowing us to publish these images and trusting City Engineering to fulfil your heating and cooling needs. |

Every air condition installation is different, whether it is for a listed building, a complete refurbishment or a new build project, they all present their challenges in local planning restrictions or overcome building infrastructure problems. Many thanks to the City Engineering air conditioning installer teams for working around the time-lines of contractors, interior designs and the client's needs to complete the work on time and on budget installing air conditioning in Brentwood. Maintenance

The running cost for a modern 7KW split air condition system is around 13p/hour. Therefore, a computer room running 24 hrs, 7 days for 52 weeks a year this comes to more £1,100 per year in running costs. Based on data from carbon trust. By not servicing this system, energy consumption of an air conditioning system can increase by 60%, you would be paying £660 per year extra in running cost; this is more than four times the price of our annual maintenance contract. In many cases, with longer plans and multiple units, this can be up to six times the cost our annual maintenance contract. Don’t delay, the quicker you have a maintenance contract in place the quicker you will save money. Here are some features that you should consider when thinking about how to maintain your air conditioning system: - Schedule: It's vital that you make maintenance a regular activity. Only then will you get the best out of your air conditioning system. No regular maintenance invalidates your manufactures warranty, so if it breaks down you may have to pay for replacement parts or systems. - Cleaning: Dirty components can significantly reduce the efficiency of your system, leading to increased energy costs. Make sure all components are regularly cleaned, particularly: Grilles, Fans, and Ductwork. Also, make sure to check the air conditioning's filters aren't blocked. It's possible to retro-fit gauges that will tell you when duct filters need replacing. - Condensers: Keep condensers clean and unobstructed. Condensers are usually located outside a building (their job is to expel heat from the building). They are usually wall-hung in small ‘split-systems, or floor-standing for larger systems. - Insulation: Pipework insulation needs to be kept in good condition; otherwise more energy will be required to maintain the desired temperature. - Refrigerant leaks: It's vital that you check for refrigerant gas leaks and repair them immediately. A leak could really increase energy consumption. |

Wall mounted systemsIndoor unit capacity 2.2-7.3 KWThese system are quick install and tend to be the most cost effective and energy efficient, making them ideal for the home, conservatory, small shop, small club/bars and other light commercial applications; where there is little or no ceiling height or void. With a number of slim-line systems now available on the market they can be tailored to suit most room styles and add to the look of a room. Most popular configuration for homes is the use of one multi-split outdoor system connected to up to 4 internal wall mounted systems. Each room's temperature can be independently controlled using a wireless remote. TechnologyMost split and multi-split systems have an energy efficiency rating of A. Heat pumps are also recognized as the most efficient form of heating in the market place today which makes them ideal for home air conditioning. Inverter systems are at the cutting edge of air conditioning technology. These models are energy efficiency, provides energy savings of up to 70% annually when compared to a non-inverter systems, with ultra quiet operation. Most come with air fitter to remove dust from room, an ion-deodorizer and bacterial filter, and de-humidification function built in, all controlled with a stylish LCD display remote. |
